Nose Art / Custom Work

Arts / Crafts / Supplies
Just when you thought air brushed designs were your only option for your motorcycle, helmet, vintage vehicle, hot rod or family automobile, well think again! The art of hand painting is back.

The artwork known as nose art became popular during World War II. It came from the desire of pilots to personalize their aircraft and make it unique. The fly boys expressed their personalities and imagination through the images that they painted on their planes. Their ideas for nose art came from girlfriends, wives, mothers, posters, pin-ups, calendars, cartoons and some event related to the history of the aircraft. The majority of the artwork was inspired by the style of artwork of the time. This included Disney characters, comic strips and the Vargas girls.

If vintage artwork is more your style or if the idea of a hand painted work of art is more your speed, we at Not The Ordinary are happy to give you the choice.
